If you are the artist, then you do not need to link to any sources, though you won't get much of a following if you aren't promoting yourself. If the artist has not uploaded the artwork online, you can instead link to their art gallery, social media or other online prescene. If you are submitting another person's creative work, you must always provide a link back to the original source as either the submission itself or as a comment. If that doesn't work, you are allowed to ask. You should first try finding the artist by using a reverse image search or looking for a watermark. When you are submitting another person's creative work, you must always include their name in the title of the submission, even if you are directly linking to them.
